Parking
--------
The work scheduled to be completed on the parking lot behind Building DE has
been postponed until tomorrow due to the rain. Please make sure all vehicles
are moved by 7:00am. I apologize for the inconvenience and the delay in
getting notification out regarding the postponement.

Also, beginning on September 15, enforcement of parking in the Westgate area
should improve. Hopefully you will begin to see less non-Westgate vehicles
parked in the lots. Please ensure that if you have a vehicle on-campus, you
obtain a parking permit.

The PCB Abatement will be moving to the courtyard side of Building DE this week,
beginning tomorrow. Please direct any questions, to Rich Gang at rgangmit [dot] edu.

Hello

Their was a small electrical fire this afternoon in the High Rise fright
elevator which runs from the basement to the 1st floor only.

The high rise was evacuated until the all clear was given. MIT Safety
office did respond and took air quality samples and the test results were
fine.

The freight elevator is used by my staff only and it will be out of
service for some time.

I apologize for the inconvenience this afternoon.

The parking lot behind Building DE in the low rise buildings will once again
close on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2008 AT 7:00AM for a final paving. All vehicles
must be removed from the lot by 7:00am or you could be towed. Should you have

Hello all,

On Tuesday, September 2, 2008, the parking lot located behind building DE will
be closed for the duration of the week and the PCB work will to the courtyard
side of Building FG.

Parking Closure
---------------
The parking lot located behind Building DE will close in order to be
re-graded/paved due to the catch drains installed with the Vassar St. Project.
All vehicles must be out of the lot by 8:00am on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
The work is anticipated to only last the duration of the week.

Residents with a low-rise permit who normally park in the lot, may park in any
of the other lots located outside of the low-rise buildings. Residents may
also access the gated lot along Amherst Alley. You MIT ID Card should grant
you access, if it does not then please contact Parking for assistance at
617-258-6510 or 617-253-2997 (after hours).

PCB Abatement
-------------
The abatement process will begin on the courtyard side of Building FG. All A/C
units and items on the balconies on this side of the building need to be
removed by 8:00am on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. If you need assistance,

Hello all,

I will be meeting with representatives from the Vassar St. project tomorrow,
Friday, August 14, 2008. Please let me know your concerns regarding the
process and please be as a specific as possible. For example, I know that
noise is an issue. Please let me know if it is the early start time of jack
hammering or the preparation work completed in the parking lot near Low-rise
HJK.

Please let me know your other concerns regarding the project as well. Thank you
all for your help. I will update everyone at the next Town Hall Meeting on this
and the wireless issues.
